About The Cup
The Man Cave Media Community Cup, presented by Piggly Wiggly, is a season-long competition crowning the top boys soccer program among nine area high schools. Modeled on the NBA Cup format, standings run in parallel with each team's regular season — no extra games required. Every qualifying result between two Cup teams builds toward the standings, and the program with the best Points Per Game (PPG) average at season's end lifts the inaugural Community Cup.
How It Works
-
Win = 3 points · Draw = 1 point · Loss = 0 points
-
Only games between two of the nine Community Cup schools count
-
If two teams play twice (conference opponents), only their first meeting counts
-
Standings are ranked by Points Per Game (PPG) — total points ÷ qualifying games played — since not every team plays the same number of Cup games
-
A team must play at least 4 qualifying Cup games to be eligible for the Championship
-
Highest PPG at the end of the regular season is crowned Community Cup Champion
